MV Asia II

One of the largest day trip vessels operating from Phuket, MV Asia II is an excellent, spacious boat. Probably the best organised boat around, the friendly and efficient staff ensure that your trip is relaxed and fun! Combine this with the excellent food and facilities and you are guaranteed a great day out.

Lower Deck

The lower deck consists of the captain's cabin, lounge area and dive deck. The covered lounge area has comfortable seating, TV and DVD player. There are also facilities for fresh drinking water plus tea, coffee and hot chocolate. There are also a number of reef guides available for use with staff on hand to help you identify those unusual critters.

Two spacious European style bathrooms are located by the side of the lounge with modern WC, sink, hot water shower and even a mirror! At the back of the boat is the dive deck giving plenty of room for gearing up and a low platform for easy entry into the water. There are also two urinals for the men helping to avoid that pre-dive congestion due to nature's calling!

Middle Deck

The middle deck can be reached by climbing a ladder located between the lounge and dive deck. This deck is split into two areas. At the front is a covered lounge area where food is served for lunch and also dinner on 3 dive days. There are also facilities for fresh drinking water plus tea, coffee and hot chocolate. At the rear of the boat is a covered outside dining area with plenty of seating for all. This is a great place to relax on 3 dive days whilst having dinner and watching the beautiful Phuket sunsets. Fresh fruits plus rolls are served through the day in this area with a cool box containing soft drinks and beer (both for sale).

Upper Deck

The upper deck can be reached by climbing up a small ladder between the lounge and dining area of the boat. Upstairs consists of a large uncovered sun deck area for the sun worshippers. This is a great place to read a book or have a siesta on the journey home but remember to bring your sun cream!

Dive Details

Dive times are up to one hour (air/no decompression limits allowing) as opposed to the standard dive time of 50 minutes maximum with most other Phuket diving companies. This gives you more time to explore the wonderful reefs of Phuket and Phi Phi. Surface intervals are also generally of a minimum of 1 hour 30 minutes from when the last group surfaces as opposed to the Phuket diving industry standard of one hour, thus increasing your safety. Group sizes are generally limited to a maximum of 4 divers per guide.
