Somboon 3 - Schedules

Flexible Schedule - October 2017 until May 2018

Somboon 3 is permanently located in and around the Similan islands and Koh Bon with trips also running as far north as Richelieu Rock on certain days of the week. It has a completely flexible schedule which means you can join the boat almost any day of the week and stay for as short (one day) or as long as you want. In fact, if you are on the boat and your trip is coming to an end but you wish to stay longer then just ask the tour leader. As long as there is space available then you will be able to extend.

Similan Island and Koh Bon

Somboon 3 moves around the Similan islands from dive to dive ensuring that you get a variety of dive sites during your stay. On Mondays and Thursdays Somboon 3 visits Richelieu Rock , the most famous dive site in Thailand. On Wednesdays and Sundays Somboon 3 visits the island of Koh Bon to the north of the Similan islands. This island is famous for manta sightings especially during the months of January to April.

The dive sites to be visited may be changed due to unforeseen circumstances such as inappropriate weather.


Transfers to Somboon 3 are by minibus and speedboat. Minibus transfers are available anywhere on Phuket or Khao Lak center. Please note that there are surcharges for transfers on Phuket except for the following areas: Kata, Karon, Patong. Please contact us regarding surcharges for transfers outside of these areas. The speedboat departs from Taplamu pier and takes approximately one hour to reach the main boat.
