Built in 2000 the Mermaid 2 has been operating as a liveaboard for 8 years. At 33 metres in length and 7 metres in beam she can comfortably carry up to a maximum of 18 guests. Over the years constant revisions and improvements have been made and she is now one of the most comfortable and diver friendly liveaboards in Thailand. Cruises run both to the north of Phuket to the Similan islands and also south to Hin Daeng and Hin Muang.

National Park Fees

National park fees are payable in cash direct to the tour leader on the liveaboard. As these are government charges we take no responsibility for any change in the fees. Please note that the Similan islands and Surin islands are separate national parks. Current park fees are as follows:

400 baht entry to each national park
Additional 200 baht per diver per day

Equipment Rental

Full Equipment Set (BCD,Regulator, Wetsuit, Fins, Mask) - 600 baht for a single day, only 500 baht per day for multiple days diving
Full Equipment Set + computer - 850 baht for a single day, only 700 baht per day for multiple days' diving
Digital Camera - 800 baht per day
Underwater Scooter - 800 baht per day
Enriched Air (Nitrox) - 200 baht per tank

Booking Conditions

Due to the late nature of the booking, full payment is required. Payment is non-refundable.
Personal dive insurance is required for the trip. We recommend a yearly insurance through Divers Alert Network .
When checking in, all divers are required to complete a liability release waiver and to show proof of diving certification and dive medical insurance such as PADI, DAN or equivalent.
Dive computers are also mandatory for each diver. Please let us know if you need to rent.

Payment Methods

Payment can be made by bank transfer to either our Thai, Swedish or UK bank accounts.
VISA and Mastercard debit/credit card payments are also accepted.

Cancellation Policy

Once payment has been made for your Thailand liveaboard then there is a no refund policy due to the late nature of the booking. Please therefore ensure that you have appropriate insurance in case you are unable to make the trip.

Dive Courses/Private Guiding

A large variety of PADI courses are available during your liveaboard trip but must be pre-booked . Please contact us prior to your trip for specific course details with prices.
Private guiding is also available if pre-booked from as little as an additional 2,000 baht per day. Again, contact us prior to your trip for more details.
