A One Day Diving Adventure

Designed for complete beginners the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program is a great introduction to diving in a safe, well-supervised manner. Within the same day you can go from no knowledge whatsoever to exploring the enchanting underwater world with your instructor right by your side at all times. You don't even need to be able to swim!

The Day Itself

Get ready for an experience of a lifetime. Here is what you can expect during your day out:-

• On the journey out to Racha Yai island we will give you an introduction to the basic concepts of diving including breathing underwater, effects of pressure and buoyancy. Check out your new dive equipment and get used to the look and feel before entering the water.

• Once you arrive at Racha Yai island we will take you into a shallow water area to practice a few basic underwater skills in a safe environment. These will including checking your air and how to communicate underwater using hand signals.

• Now you are ready to go for a dive. Explore the local reefs and have your breath taken away by the beauty and variety of the underwater world. It's just like swimming in a large aquarium! Your own personal instructor will be right by your side at all times to ensure your safety.

• After the first dive enjoy a mix of Thai and Western food served buffet style on the upper deck. Let your lunch settle and then head off with your instructor for a second dive and another chance to explore.

• End the day by chilling out on the sun deck and soaking up some rays, reading a book, or taking a siesta and dreaming of fishes. The choice is yours!

A Full Day Out

The dives for the course are carried out from a large day trip diving boat. The boat trip itself is a full day out on a large, modern and very comfortable vessel including sun deck and air-conditioned lounge. Transfers are provided both morning and evening between your hotel and the boat. On the journey out enjoy the beautiful scenery whilst having a cooked breakfast before your adventure truly begins. Lunch is also included with pancakes or cheese/ham toasties on the way home on three dive days.

Racha Yai Island

Racha Yai island is a great place for beginner divers. There are lots of sheltered bays for easy diving, underwater visibility is generally very good, and an abundance of marine life to be seen. The coral reefs contain many underwater treasures including various types of corals, sponges and fishes. Colourful parrotfish, exotic lionfish, sea stars, sea cucumbers and much more can be encountered. If your luck is in you may even chance across a turtle or a shark. Whatever you see it will be sure to leave you with many superb memories and a desire to dive again as soon as you can.
