Our IDC Support

All our candidates get full back up from us, our course director and our staff instructors both during and outside of normal working hours. This includes practical help, advice on necessary learning materials and general information on the local area. Join us for dinner on your arrival.

Your Course Director

All our IDCs are run through course director Bjorn Tackmann, the most respected course director in Asia . Bjorn has been a course director for many years and has previously taught many of the other course directors in Phuket at some stage in their careers including Chris Owen and Thien Xdo. In fact, even Iain did his instructor course with Bjorn many years ago and we have the utmost respect for him and his teaching methods.

Instructor Course Length/Accommodation

The IDC takes place over a relaxed 9 day period in a wonderful location in Kata, Phuket, with an additional 3 days for the instructor exams. With accommodation included right next to the training pool and air-conditioned classroom facilities close at hand, it is a perfect location for study and in-water practice.
