A Three Day Diving Adventure

For complete beginners or those who have dived but are not certified divers, now is your chance to become a fully certified PADI Open Water diver. Within three days you can master all the skills and knowledge required to allow you to dive with any other fully certified diver in the future.

The Course Itself

Pre-Study

Prior to the course watch the PADI Open Water Diver DVD in the comfort of your own hotel in preparation for your course. We will provide you with a DVD player, the diving DVD and the PADI Open Water manual - all delivered to you at your hotel. Pre-study requires approximately three to four hours study time.

Day One

• At our pool-side restaurant start by discussing with your own private instructor what you saw in the diving video and read in the PADI Open Water manual.

• Next, time to get in the water. Learn and practice diving skills in a custom-designed diving pool, initially in shallow water, later moving to deep water. Swim around underwater in the pool to help you become familiar with the underwater world in a safe and relaxed environment.

Day Two

• Time to get into the sea. Enjoy the first of two day trips to the beautiful island of Racha Yai and discover the local reefs. Over the first two dives practice some of the skills learnt on the previous day plus explore the underwater world with your own personal instructor right by your side at all times to ensure your safety.

Day Three

• Enjoy a second day trip to Racha Yai island (optional trip to alternative dive destination available upon request). On your final two dives keep practicing your dive skills whilst continuing to admire the wonder and diversity of the reef life.

A Full Day Out

The dives for the course are carried out from a large day trip diving boat. The boat trip itself is a full day out on a large, modern and very comfortable vessel including sun deck and air-conditioned lounge. Transfers are provided both morning and evening between your hotel and the boat. On the journey out enjoy the beautiful scenery whilst having a cooked breakfast before your adventure truly begins. Lunch is also included with pancakes or cheese/ham toasties on the way home on three dive days.

Racha Yai Island

Racha Yai island is a great place for beginner divers. There are lots of sheltered bays for easy diving, underwater visibility is generally very good, and an abundance of marine life to be seen. The coral reefs contain many underwater treasures including various types of corals, sponges and fishes. Colourful parrotfish, exotic lionfish, sea stars, sea cucumbers and much more can be encountered. If your luck is in you may even chance across a turtle or a shark. Whatever you see it will be sure to leave you with many superb memories and a desire to dive again as soon as you can.

Price includes private instruction, PADI Open Water Diver manual to keep, certification costs, hotel pick up/drop off (Kata, Karon, Patong, Kamala, Surin), 2 boat trips to Racha Yai island inc. breakfast and lunch, equipment use, log book, and four boat dives.
