A One Day Experience

If you are already a PADI Rescue Diver but haven't had any practice for a while then this one day refresher course gives you the opportunity to brush up on your rescue skills. Spend a day in the pool and practice various rescue scenarios with help from your own private instructor.

The Course Itself

Pre-study

Prior to the course watch the PADI Rescue Diver DVD in the comfort of your own hotel in preparation for your refresher course. We will provide you with a DVD player and the DVD - all delivered to you at your hotel. Pre-study requires approximately one and a half hours study time.

Day One

• At our pool-side restaurant start by discussing what you saw in the Rescue Diver DVD with your own personal instructor.

• Next, time to get in the water.Re-learn and practice rescue diving skills and techniques in a custom-designed diving pool. Watch as your instructor demonstrates the rescue skills viewed on the DVD and then try them for yourself. Skills include: how to deal with a panicking diver, search for a missing diver, surfacing an unconscious diver and giving in-water rescue breaths.

Pre-Requisites

To begin the Rescue Refresher course you must be a certified PADI Rescue diver. It is also recommended that you have successfully completed a sanctioned course in CPR within the past 2 years. Refer to our Emergency First Response page for info on how to receive the relevant CPR experience if you do not already have it.

Price: 3,900 Baht

Price includes private instruction, PADI Rescue diver manual to keep, certification costs, one boat trip, equipment rental and transport for boat trip (Kata/Karon/Patong/Kamala/Surin).
