A Unique Similan Adventure

Built in 1962 for charcoal transportation the "June Hong Chian Lee" was part of a small merchant fleet that traded up and down the coastline of Burma to Malaysia. It was mainly used to transport mango wood charcoal. In 1985 it was restored and redesigned to serve as a classical yacht. In recent times she has been redesigned once more to act in her new role as a Similan liveaboard. At 33 metres in length and 8.5 metres in beam she carries up to a maximum of 18 guests.

Onboard Interior

The air conditioned saloon is large enough to seat everyone on the boat at the same time. All meals are served in this area buffet style. All foods are freshly cooked with a mix of both Thai and Western cuisine. This area can also be used for preparing camera equipment and watching your "results" later on.

The immense deck is a great place for chilling out. Take a siesta, read a book or just watch the world go by as you move through the water. A liveaboard experience unique to the Junk is the raising of her three sails. All in all a completely different liveaboard experience!

Cabins

The Junk has six cabins in all which are either private double/twin or shared (maximum 4 people per cabin). Each cabin is decorated in Thai style decor. All cabins are air-conditioned with ensuite facilities including hot water shower. Towels, shampoo and shower gel are also provided for your convenience.
