The MV Oktavia is a large and spacious Thailand liveaboard built in 2003 and then refurbished in 2007. At 29.5 metres in length and 6.5 metres in beam she carries up to a maximum of 20 guests although she actually has the capacity to carry a lot more. This means that there is a lot of free space for guests to relax in between dives.
With both 4 day/4 night and 5 day/5 night trips, she circles from Taplamu pier through the Similans and up to Richelieu Rock before returning to her starting point. 2 day/2 night and 3 day/2 night trips are also offered with speedboat transfers to/from the liveaboard allowing those with a limited amount of time to also enjoy the wonderful dive sites of the Similans Islands.

The MV Oktavia contains 14 cabins in total: 12 Blue Ocean cabins plus 2 very spacious Master cabins. The Master cabins on the upper deck are the most spacious of all. All Blue Ocean cabins are situated on the main deck. For the Blue Ocean cabins there are 6 double bed cabins, 4 cabins with 2 bunk beds plus 2 family cabins which each have a double bed plus bunk bed.
Each master cabin has individual air-conditioning in addition to fan, double bed, desk/dressing table, sofa, en-suite shower/toilet, hardwood floor and a mini-fridge. They span over the width of the boat and have panoramic windows on both port and starboard. These rooms are very popular so book early to avoid disappointment.
All Blue Ocean cabins have central air-conditioning and are equipped with fan, reading lights, shelf unit, two large panorama windows, electrical outlets, sheets and towels. Bathrooms for guests staying in these cabins are shared with 4 shared European-style bathrooms with hot showers as well as 3 showers on the swim deck.
The triple berth cabin is great for a family of three looking to share together. Also, if you are an individual traveller then the double or twin Blue Ocean cabins can be booked as single rooms for a small additional supplement allowing you extra privacy. This is one of the few Thailand liveaboards that offers single person supplement at a very reasonable price.
On the upper deck is a large, comfortable seating area where all meals are served. Tea, coffee water and fruit juices are readily available in this area throughout the trip with staff on hand to help with any requests.
On the top deck is a spacious sun deck with a comfortable seating area with table and chairs. There are also a couple of sun loungers, perfect for topping up your tan in the day or for gazing at the stars at night.
MV Oktavia has a large dive deck with plenty of space for everyone. This also includes places to hang wetsuits inbetween dives. Dives are generally directly from the back of the dive deck. At the end of the dives the main boat or an assisting dinghy pick up the divers.

Please note that equipment rental is NOT included in the trip price. The items below are available for rent (must be pre-ordered). As trhere will be a lot of dives in a short period of time, some of which will be deep dives, dive computers are compulsory for all of our liveaboard trips. This is for the safety of our guests.

To help with the costs of reef protection and regeneration schemes, the Thai government has introduced a national park entry fee for all visitors to the Similans and Surin islands of 500 baht entry per person plus an additional 200 baht per diver per day. Please note that the Similans Islands and Surin Islands are different national parks so an entry fee will be required for each park and each time you enter. Park fees would currently be as follows:
