The MV Sawasdee Fasai is one of the best designed Thailand liveaboards operating to the Similan islands. At 37 metres long and 7.8 metres in beam she comfortably holds a maximum of 26 - 30 guests.
The one thing that makes Sawasdee Fasai really stand out is the thought that has gone into the general design and decor of the whole liveaboard giving a modern yet Thai-style feel all around. With her superb modern design including a massive luxury lounge area she really stands out in comparison with other liveaboard options. She was also completely refurbished in 2016 vastly improving the already excellent decor and facilities.

MV Sawasdee Fasai contains 15 cabins in total. All cabins have individually controlled air-conditioning and are all en suite with private toilet and shower except the budget cabins. There is plenty of storage space - cupboards, wardrobes and even storage areas under the beds. A safe box is also provided to store your valuables. Also, each guest will be supplied with one large and one small towel and toiletries.
The two master cabins on the main deck are the most spacious of all. Located at the bow of the boat, the two master cabins are ensuite with private air-conditioning and can be set up with either twin beds or one double beds. Just let us know your preference when booking. The large windows offer great views of the surrounding sea.
The five deluxe cabins on the main deck each have twin bunk beds. These rooms are also ensuite with private air-conditioning. Solo guests will be paired with someone of the same sex.
On the lower deck are the four standard cabins. As with the master cabins, these can be set up as either double or twin (you choose). Solo guests will be paired with someone of the same sex. Rooms are ensuite with private air-conditioning.
Altogether there are four budget cabins: two on the upper deck and two on the lower deck. These are a smallish room with twin beds. The toilet/shower facilities are separate to the rooms themselves although very close by. These facilities are shared between the budget cabins. Again, solo guests will be paired with someone of the same sex.
All meals are served at the large, comfortable open air dining area situated on the main deck. Tea, coffee water and fruit juices are readily available in this area throughout the trip with staff on hand to help with any requests. Food is a mix of Western and Thay-style buffet with vegetarian and vegan options available on request. This outside dining area is also great place for hanging out and enjoying the fresh air and the wonderful scenery of the Andaman sea.
Also on the upper deck is the spacious air-conditioned lounge area with extremely comfortable sofas, large flat-screen TV and DVD player. With large, wide windows there ia always plenty of light and wonderful views making this a great place to hang out and escape from the midday heat.
The sun deck is a large and spacious place to hang out and top up your tan or enjoy the cooling sea breezes of the Andaman sea. The views of the Similans islands from here are terrific and at night time it is a perfect place for star-gazing. With very little man-made light around the Similans islands, the views of the stars can be simply breath-taking!

As trhere will be a lot of dives in a short period of time, some of which will be deep dives, dive computers are compulsory for all of our liveaboard trips. This is for the safety of our guests.

To help with the costs of reef protection and regeneration schemes, the Thai government has introduced a national park entry fee for all visitors to the Similans and Surin islands of 500 baht entry per person plus an additional 200 baht per diver per day. Please note that the Similans Islands and Surin Islands are different national parks so an entry fee will be required for each park and each time you enter. For the 4 day/4 night trip including Richeieu Rock you enter the Similans Park twice and the Surin park once. Park fees would currently be as follows:
