In just a few days, learn to become a safe, responsible and independent diver. With a few simple steps you can experience the wonderful marine life Phuket has to offer and get a lifetime diving certificate at the same time.
| Steps | Action |
|---|---|
| Self-Study | Before the course starts, watch a video online on the fundamentals of diving and complete some knowledge reviews and quizzes. |
| Day One | Start by spending the first hour or so completing the study sections by the poolside. This then leaves almost a whole day to practice dive skills in the pool to prepare you thoroughly for your first Open Water dives. |
| Day Two | Enjoy two or three training dives in the sea at our local coral reefs. Discover the beautiful marine life and practice some of the dive skills with your instructor that you learnt the previous day. |
| Day Three | Continue to practice a few additional skills in the sea with most of time free to discover even more amazing wildlife underwater! |
Note: If you have limited time/budget or wish to go diving without taking a dive certification, you can take our one day Discover Scuba Diving program. More info can be found on our Discover Scuba Diving section.
Nobody wants to sit in a classroom while on holiday if it can be avoided. This is why, as soon as online learning became available, we decided to offer our students the chance to complete most of the study in advance of their course. This also gives us almost a whole day in the swimming pool to help you get used to being underwater and to teach you necessary dive techniques rather than spending half of it behind a desk. This results in a more comfortable, safer and fun experience for our guests at no extra charge.
All certified scuba divers should be able to swim. Going into the sea without any swimming ability and no dive professional by your side can be very dangerous. Therefore, for this course there are two required swim tests to be completed on the first day:
Unfortunately, if you are unable to complete the swim tests successfully, for your own safety we will be unable to issue your dive certification. However, with a bit of practice it is quite a simple test to pass. If you would like some tips on how to complete these swim tests then just ask.
To enable us to give you the safest and best diving experience, we only offer private tuition for all our diving courses in Phuket. Read about how this benefits you here.
Online booking discounts of between 10% and 20% are available on all course prices depending on the number of students. Terms and conditions apply.
Certified divers and snorkellers are welcome to join on the trips too. Certified divers can receive a 5% discount off the standard trip price if joining with the student(s) on the dives (with same instructor). Full trip price list here.
